one thousand fourteen: the grass is greener

Today's look is a very casual way to start off the work week. Yesterday I mentioned how in the fall and winter seasons I'll normally wear darker colors as opposed to the bright ones I wear in the spring and summer time. But since we are still in a transitional phase of the seasons, I chose a little bit of both today. The pants are a little darker than they look in the photos, but they are actually a dark green which makes the outfit overall a bit of a monochromatic look. Today's look also mixes aspects of casual wear and sportswear simply by wearing a more activewear style of shoes with a more casual styled look. I love to mix things up and break the rules that some think can never be broken. Personal style is called personal for a reason. No one can ever take that away from you as hard as they may try to, whether it be by criticizing you or telling you that you can't wear things a certain way. So remember to stand up for yourself and don't let anyone tell you what you can or can't wear! You are the boss when it comes to your own style.

Today I am wearing:
•Corduroy five panel hat from Urban Outfitters
•Thrifted button up shirt from Ralph Lauren
•Belt from H&M
•Slim fit five pocket pant from H&M
•Argyle socks from Target
•Sneakers from Nike
