Today's look is yet another summer style look featuring shorts, low top sneakers yet again. I went with a checkered button up shirt today to change up the style of shirts I've worn the past couple of days. And I topped it off with a patterned hat that has a bit of a funny history to it. The older I get, the more out of touch I feel with today's younger culture. And I've got another reminder of my "old age" coming around in the form of my thirty first birthday in a short two weeks. I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything really. But I just remember when I knew every semi popular acronym and what it stood for before anyone else I knew did. The reason I'm mentioning this is because a few months back I bought this hat that I loved so much because of the awesome floral pattern it had on it. But one thing made me question the purchase. It had the letters S.W.Y.P. on the front of the hat and I had no idea what it stood for. Being the technologically advanced person that I am, I stood in the middle of the store with one hand holding the hat in question and one hand googling the mysterious S.W.Y.P. In that moment I felt both very resourceful and very old all at once. Luckily, I found out what it meant quickly and realized that it was very fitting and I went ahead with the purchase. Now, after reading this, you may be wondering what it actually stands for if you don't already know. It stands for "So what's your point?" And I don't know how it could be anymore fitting than in the situation I had my first encounter with it. Yes, I am getting older and I may not know current popular culture as well as I once did at a younger age. But I still have my own style and know what works best for me. So what's your point?
Today I am wearing:
•Patterned snap back hat from H&M
•Thrifted checkered button up shirt
•Belt from H&M
•Shorts from H&M
•Leather sneakers from Vans
