Well, I didn't make it the whole week with only wearing shorts like I had originally wanted to as an introduction to the official sumner season. But some days you just have to dress how you feel and today was definitely one of those denim jeans kind of day for me. Today's look is a cool, casual and comfortable look that helped me through my last work day of this very busy past week. This outfit, along with the denim, features an old favorite thrift pick of mine. It's a plaid button up shirt from Tommy Hilfiger. If you've ever noticed, some of my absolute favorite shirts that I've ever acquired by thrifting are Tommy Hilfiger shirts. I never wore the brand in my younger years, though I used to always want to being that I spent a good amount of my very impressionable years as a hip hop fan in the mid to late 90's. But it has definitely become a favorite of mine over the past few years for many different reasons than my initial desire to wear their clothes. This may sound blasphemous coming from a style blogger, but I think people put far too much emphasis on who they're wearing when they should be focusing more on how they wear who they're wearing. Not to say that you can't have a favorite designer or brand (as we all do), but how that designer's or brand's work relates to you on a personal level and how it influences your personal style is the most important aspect of it all in my opinion. So the next time someone asks you who makes a certain piece that you're wearing don't just tell them the who, tell them the how, too! I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
