nine thirty two: summer stripin'

The summer season isn't just about bright colors and wild patterns like in yesterday's look. It's also very much about simple patterns as well like today's striped shirt. I've followed nearly the same outfit formula for the past four days and I'm loving it even more and more as I go on. The formula starts with a pair of shorts and a casual low top sneaker. After I have those chosen, I decide on what sort of shirt I want to wear. Do I want to wear a long sleeve shirt with the sleeves rolled up, polo shirt, t-shirt, etc. and finally I decide whether I want to wear a solid color, multicolor, pattern, etc. Lastly, I decide whether or not I'm going to wear a hat or do something with my hair. And I won't lie, this last choice sometimes depends on if I'm feeing lazy as far as doing my hair goes or not. It's a very simple process and to be honest, it's not too far off from how I choose my outfits for every other season. I just normally have less choices to make in the summer because it's far too hot to add anything else to these lighter summer outfits. I hope that all of you are staying cool in this heat and remember not to overthink what you're wearing. It's all about you and how you feel!

Today I am wearing:
•Faux leather snap back hat from Urban Outfitters
•Thrifted striped polo shirt from Banana Republic
•Studded belt from H&M
•Shorts from H&M
•Canvas sneakers from H&M
