It's very rare that I will just wear a t-shirt as a top for an outfit and I know that it's getting to be that time of year when I will have to do so whether I like it or not. But we're not there just yet! I think my favorite part about layering a button up shirt opened over a t-shirt is that it acts as a frame to the t-shirt. Even though this is a t-shirt with a graphic on it, it still seems a little boring to me on it's own. With the addition of the polka dot shirt, it adds a little contrast to the white t-shirt and the pant. Lastly, the socks were chosen before I even knew I was going to choose a polka dot shirt for today's outfit (believe it or not, but I didn't even realize the double polka dots until I was taking my styling detail photos) and the monochrome canvas sneakers help round out this casual look in the best way.
